Hong Kong to Butcher All Fowl After Bird Influenza Detected

HONG KONG Hong Kong functionaries say they plan to butcher all live domestic fowl in the territory’s street markets after detection the unsafe H5N1 bird grippe virus.

Factory farm, Fisheries and Preservation Director Cheung Siu-hing says tests renderred Wednesday exhibitted birds septic in 4 markets.

Cheung made not say how a lot of birds would be voted out. She says the computer virus has notted been detected in samples from local chicken farms and statistical distribution centers.

Wellness workers defeated 2,700 domestic fowl on Sabbatum in a market place after routine examination showed 5 volailles were septic with the computer virus.

The authorities also temporarily banned supplies from all live fowl from mainland China and local farms.
